  • Ingredients: dried apricot dices (with a powdering of natural rice flour for easy flowability)

  • Benefits: Apricots are a beautiful bright orange in color with a delicate, sweet flavor. Nutrients in apricots can help protect the heart and eyes, as well as provide the disease-fighting effects of fiber. The high beta-carotene and lycopene activity of apricots makes them important heart health foods. Both beta-carotene and lycopene protect LDL cholesterol from oxidation, which may help prevent heart disease.

  • Suggested Use: The dried fruit offers all of the taste of its fresh counterpart without the limited seasonality. Dried Apricots are great as a snack just as they are. They're wonderful diced and added to muffins or scones. The flavor of Apricots blends well with citrus. Try them added to your next couscous dish or in a cold chicken and lettuce salad.
